This tour takes you through fantastic skiing terrain in an area formerly home to a ski area.

Start

Bizau, practice lift car park Hütten – valley station of the former Hirschberg chair lift (790 m)

Directions

On L200 Bregenzerwaldstraße to Bezau – turn off towards Bizau and on through the village towards Schnepfegg. The car park is on the right side of the road.

Brief description

This easy ski tour passes through the fantastic former ski area with medium-steep slopes on Hirschberg mountain above Bizau. The former ski runs are now popular slopes for tourers. The ski tour ends above the former mountain station on a peak. The terrain offers wonderful, quite steep ski slopes in wide forest aisles. Thanks to the northward orientation, the route can generally be toured until late in the winter.

Route description

From the former valley station, climb up the steep slopes to the left of the lift supports to the former mountain station of the Hirschberg chair lift. Continue left over a short slope to the destination.
