Au - Biomass - A renewable raw material
The name of our valley is BregenzerWALD – the Bregenz FOREST. Working, building and designing with wood has a long tradition here. Those who build with timber retain CO2, those who use wood for heating are heating in a climate neutral way. Significantly more biomass is still growing back in our forests than is being removed. Sensible forest management makes it possible to create value in the region and supports the local employment market. Larger and smaller biomass heating plants are now being run in Au-Schoppernau. We would like to invite you to visit the heating plant at the centre of the village of Au, to discover new aspects and take part in a stimulating exchange about the climate.
