The objects shown here may come as a surprise to those familiar with the Werkraum Bregenzerwald. After all, wood is not the key ingredient! Instead, cork, blackened silver, cowhide, mattress fabric, permanent markers, mustard flour and raw cane sugar were substituted. These components result in diverse and interesting products produced by the member companies of Werkraum Bregenzerwald. They are ideal for those who appreciate regional products and would like to take home a high-quality souvenir from their trip that will be an indelible memory for years to come.

Handwerk+Form
This design competition takes place every three years. The highlight is always the exhibition of the entries and prize-winners, which is divided between several locations such as workshops and barns. The village tour in Andelsbuch, a combination of old and new, inside and outside, and above all high-quality handcrafted objects, is a can’t-miss experience!
Werkraum depot
Find out more about the Bregenzerwald Werkraum’s furniture and craftsmen’s workshops during a guided tour of the depot at the Werkraumhaus in Andelsbuch. It’s a master class of crafts and design from the region. Many of the exhibited objects were purchased from Handwerk+Form for the vorarlberg museum collection. Guided tours take place on the first Saturday of every month from 11 am to 12 pm.
Works archive
There is a digital collection of all previous submissions to Handwerk+Form, which is open to the public and comprises over 600 designs of furniture and objects created in the Bregenzerwald workshops since 1991.
