Where the wild ladies cook

Biohotel Schwanen****

At the Schwanen Biohotel, under the direction of Emanuel and Antonia Moosbrugger, guests enjoy outstanding food, stay in rooms furnished with silver-fir wood, sleep in beds made from stone pine and eat in a wonderful herb garden in summer.

Taking the time

The Schwanen Biohotel, which is located in the heart of Bizau and was renovated in contemporary Vorarlberg timber architecture style just a few years ago, is a modern and authentic 4-star hotel. For guests, taking time to relax is a top priority. The rooms feature walls of brushed silver fir, oak floors and beds made of stone pine for a truly cosy atmosphere. Throughout the year, themed weeks take place, for example ‘herb days’ and fasting and detox weeks. There is also a sauna and a steam bath.

Enjoy something wild

The Schwanen is known far and wide for its cuisine, which is prepared by the famed “wild ladies” under the direction of Antonia Moosbrugger. The kitchen relies on organic ingredients and the principles of Hildegard von Bingen. The food is a masterpiece: the gourmet guide Gault Millau has awarded the Schwanen 2 toques and 15 points.

At the Schwanen, guests enjoy outstanding cuisine in a carefully modernised parlour or in an ancient Bregenzerwald parlour with a renovated nut and oak-wood floor. Guests relish the multi-course “wild ladies” menu. Everyone at the table is served a different dish allowing guests to try the kitchen’s best.
