The 360-degree views from the “Niedere” are impressively beautiful. From this vantage point, you can see Lake Constance, the Allgäu Alps, the mountains of Switzerland and the Vorarlberg peaks to the south. Thanks to good thermals, the Niedere is also a popular place for paragliding and hang-gliding fans.
Hiking tip
Stunning views can be enjoyed from the 1.5-hour panorama circuit trail on the Niedere. From the mountain station of the chairlift at 1,530 m, hikers can head to the panorama restaurant at the Baumgartenhöhe. From there they can continue on a paved path to the Niedere Höhe (1,711 m) before returning back to the Niedere mountain inn.
This easy hike is also ideal for families and each month new beautiful flowers grow along the trail. For example, Alpine roses grow in the higher areas of the Niedere Höhe.
