Skiing at Hochlitten

Hochlitten-Riefensberg ski area

The ski area is ideal for families and racing enthusiasts.

Small is beautiful is the motto in the ski area at an elevation of between 1,000 and 1,200 m, located at the border between Germany and Austria. Locals and visitors appreciate the family-oriented atmosphere in the ski area with four lifts, including a practice lift. The full snowmaking system guarantees good snow conditions. Anyone who wants to enjoy easy skiing can carve down the blue slopes. There are three different courses for private races, including an FIS-homologated slalom run for men and women. You can also have fun in the small Funpark. The modern self-service restaurant with a sun terrace is a great place for a break and some refreshments.

Good to know

  • The Hittisau-Sibratsgfäll ski and snowboard school offers skiing lessons.
  • The ski area is open daily at weekends and during the school holidays (Christmas, Shrovetide). In pre-season (November/December) the lifts run at the weekends; lifts are in operation in the afternoons during the week in the low season.
