Hochhäderich Riefensberg ski area

A little above Hittisau or Riefensberg, the Alpenarena Hochhäderich opens up before you. The wide alpine valley, at an altitude of between 1,300 and 1,600 metres, is Alpine pasture land in the summer. In winter, visitors can choose from five lifts and nine kilometres of slopes. They range from easy blue ski runs to challenging black slopes. There is a beginners’ lift, two magic carpets and a training slope for kids.

Winter options

12 kilometres of cross-country ski trails extend across the high plateau and into neighbouring Germany. There are also many winter hiking trails to choose from. There is a toboggan run, and horse-drawn sleigh rides can be booked.
