Highly interesting rock formations of geological importance and impressive gorge forests may be encountered along the way. The Argenschlucht, a gorge with walls that rise up vertically to around 100 metres, was formed by the Argenbach, the stream that runs through it. The stream plunges into the valley from Damüls and has cut through the limestone layers over millennia. The Auer Ried is a protected gem where more than 50 species of rare plants grow.
