Skiers here appreciate the impressive panoramic views and the seemingly endless mountain landscape including both south and north-facing ridges that are sunny and snowy respectively. Since 2005, the guaranteed snowy conditions have earned Damüls the distinction of being the “world’s continuously inhabited village with the most snow guaranteed.” The village is also famous for slopes that start and end at the front door and visiting snowboarders enjoy the variety-filled Burton Snowpark in Damüls to the max.

Skiing in Damüls-Mellau
Schneereich Damüls-Mellau
Damüls and Mellau complement each other beautifully. In the Walser village of Damüls, located at a high altitude, skiers literally step out of the front door on to the slopes. Mellau enjoys a central location in the valley, with the Mellaubahn cable car providing easy access to the ski area.
