Cross-country skiing, tobogganing, hiking through the winter on or off snow shoes, taking a horse-drawn carriage or paragliding: there are many different ways of enjoying nature in all its magnificence and tranquillity away from the piste.
The various skiing areas for experts and beginners alike characterise the Bregenzerwald as a skiing region. The distances between the skiing areas are pleasantly short. Ski buses operate, getting you to your destination both comfortably and eco-friendly.
The Bregenzerwald is located in the most westerly part of Austria, in the state of Vorarlberg.
Close to Lake Constance, a neighbour of Germany, Switzerland and the Principality of Liechtenstein.
