Rent-a-cow

Have you ever dreamed about being a farmer? Now you can be the owner of a cow: but you do not need a stable and you do not have to do anything for the cow. - You are allowed to visit her and drink her milk.

The holiday and herb farm run by the Erath family in Au is offering a new service: anybody who wants to can choose his or her favourite cow from 14 Brown Swiss cows, and rent her for anything between eight weeks and six months.

"Elsa, the dainty discoverer", "Fia, Ms happy-go-lucky" and "Halde, Miss Beautiful" are amongst them.

The rental charge includes several kilograms of the best Bregenzerwald cheese.
