This is how the Bregenzerwald tastes

MundArt is the motto of eight restaurants of the Bregenzwald region. At these restaurants you can enjoy excellent meals and the great atmosphere which is characteristic for the Bregenzerwald region.

„MundArt” has two meanings in the Bregenzerwald region – it’s the term for the special local dialects which have a very long tradition here and are very hard to understand even for inhabitants from other Vorarlberg villages. And it represents the creativity of the Bregenzerwald catering industry which has been given many awards and prizes.

The chefs use mainly local produce like meat, vegetables, herbs and local milk products like cheese.

* Wirtshaus zum Gämsle in Schoppernau
* Gasthaus Schwanen in Bizau with a focus on Hildegard von Bingen. The inn serves dishes based on the abbess’ teachings. The chef uses fresh, local produce and herb’s from the inn’s garden and the nearby mountains.
