Once again, hiking ranks among the latest trends! Walking through unspoilt nature inspires both mind and soul, opening up new horizons. The Bregenzerwald Region makes a truly unique paradise for walking fans.
Some 2,000km of signposted walking paths and hiking trails to the area's most scenic spots are waiting for you. Past rushing brooks, crystal clear lakes, Alpine peaks and pasturelands you reach gently rolling hills and majestic summits. Guided walks, offered in many hotels and holiday villages, are perfect for exploring the surroundings and getting into the right mood.
In the villages of Alberschwende, Andelsbuch, Bezau, Bizau, Mellau, Au-Schoppernau, Damüls and Warth you comfortably float to the peaks on the cable car or chairlift.
The Bregenzerwald Guest Card is available for 3-day holidays or longer stays in one of the Bregenzerwald partner villages between 01 May and 31 October 2010.
Hiking with a pram? No problem!
To facilitate orientation all hiking trails in the Bregenzerwald area and in all of Vorarlberg have been fitted with standardized signposts.
